http://www.Kidd81.com"Over the last year or so the emergence of large dominant footers have become a real 'on-trend' feature of web design. When designing my site, I wanted to make my footer as much a focal point as the other features of my site. The content I feel was very important to give any visitor to my site as much choice as possible when navigating round each section. A three column grid allowed me to achieve this. The first column contains the primary navigation so each section of my site can be accessed without having to return to the top of the page. The second navigation contains all the relevant info should you need to know about my site such as the validity of the code in the site and any access to social networks I belong to. The third column features another 'on-trend' quirk which is my latest blog feed to keep visitors informed to what I have been involved with. This keeps my site current and up to date. The footer maintains the fun-packed colour scheme as well as the draggable elements which feature throughout the site. Footers have traditionally been a standard feature on websites and sometimes implimented as an 'after thought' but recent trends show people are being experimental when including them in their web designs and I hope I have demonstrated that footers can be fun-packed too!
